Frequently Asked Questions

  • I offer psychotherapy, embodiment coaching, meditation and mindfulness instruction for individuals, and workshops and meditation instruction for companies and groups.

  • I offer individual psychotherapy for adults and teens through a secure virtual platform. My work is trauma-informed, relational, and integrates evidence-based and experiential psychotherapy approaches, including Somatic therapy, Mindfulness therapy, Parts Work therapy (including Internal Family Systems, Narrative therapy and Gestalt therapy), and spiritually-integrated therapy.

I go beyond talk therapy and offer an integrative approach to support clients in deeper levels of healing, insight, and growth, supporting mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. Please see my Psychotherapy page for more on my psychotherapy services.

In addition to psychotherapy, I offer embodiment coaching, meditation, and workshop-based services, depending on your goals and needs.

  • Psychotherapy is a treatment for mental and emotional health concerns, delivered through a therapeutic relationship and evidence-based techniques. Psychotherapy is a regulated healthcare profession in Ontario, and my psychotherapy services are available to clients in Ontario and select other Canadian provinces.

Embodiment coaching utilizes a blend of somatic, meditation and mindfulness tools and teachings and is designed to support more calm, clarity, and connection, but is not offered as a treatment for mental or emotional health concerns. Embodiment coaching with me is available to clients worldwide.

  • Potential benefits include a significant reduction in feelings of distress, greater stability and resilience, improved relationships, increased capacity for intimacy, greater personal clarity, increased sense of control over your life, and improved ability to cope with stressors. There are no guarantees as to what you will experience or the outcome of therapy. However, most people who remain actively engaged in the therapeutic process find that it is beneficial.

  • All sessions are currently virtual-only, offered via secure video call through Jane. Phone-based sessions are also available if preferred. Virtual therapy allows for flexibility, accessibility, and continuity of care from the comfort of your own space.

  • Regular, ongoing sessions are initially recommended to receive the greatest benefit from psychotherapy. I usually recommend that clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions, and we then taper sessions as you move towards your therapeutic goals. The length of therapy depends on your specific needs and goals. Some clients may find short-term therapy supportive, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy to address more complex patterns or achieve more substantial personal growth. • I work with adults and teens navigating concerns such as anxiety, stress, emotional regulation challenges, depression, body image challenges, eating concerns, family challenges, relationship challenges, attachment patterns, pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum and parenting concerns, self-esteem, sleep concerns, life transitions, spiritual exploration, grief, and trauma.

You don’t need to be in crisis to begin therapy. Psychotherapy can be a powerful tool for personal growth, and many clients come simply wanting deeper self-understanding, support, or tools for change.

  • At the moment, I don’t offer children, couples or family therapy, as all require more specialized training. I am happy to provide referrals for therapists who offer these services if you are interested.

  • My fee is $160 per 50-minute session (no tax added). A limited number of sliding-scale/reduced-fee spots are available. Please contact me directly for availability and details.

  • Yes, a limited number of sliding-scale spots are available. These are offered on a case-by-case basis, subject to availability. Sliding-scale spots are limited to 10 sessions, after which we will revisit the sliding-scale rate based on client goals and my continued availability for sliding-scale fees. Please reach out to check availability for current sliding-scale spots.

  • Most insurance providers offer coverage for psychotherapy under extended health benefits plans. I provide detailed receipts that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Direct billing is not provided at this time. Coverage varies by plan, so I recommend checking with your insurer to confirm eligibility for psychotherapy services with a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Embodiment coaching, meditation and mindfulness instruction are likely not covered by insurance, but you can check your individual plan for eligibility.

Psychotherapy services may also be eligible as a medical expense on your income tax return.

  • I require at least 36 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Sessions cancelled with less than 36 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.

  • Most of my availability is during the weekday daytime, though I do offer occasional evening availability. Please reach out for more information on availability.

  • I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario and practice under clinical supervision, as required by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). “Qualifying” indicates that I have completed my graduate education and am in the final stage of registration, practicing under supervision. This ensures accountability, ethical care, and ongoing professional development while I work toward full registration.

  • I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Distinction degree, as well as specialized certifications in supporting maternal mental health, trauma, and anti-oppression-informed practice.

I also hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and am a certified Yoga and Meditation teacher, Reiki Master and Holistic Healer. Please see my about page for more information on my training and experience.
